Founded in 1857 by brothers Giovan Battista and Gaetano Bertani in Quinto di Valpantena, near Verona, Bertani is one of Italy’s most historic and respected wine brands.
The brothers combined their passion for the Veronese territory with the technical knowledge acquired in France, resulting in wines of the highest quality.
From the very beginning, Bertani has stood out for its attention to quality and innovation. As early as 1860, Bertani wines were exported abroad, quickly gaining an international reputation. In the 1930s, Bertani received the prestigious recognition of quality certification from the King of Italy, becoming the official supplier of the Royal House.
Today, Bertani continues to be a point of reference in the Italian wine sector, with a production that respects tradition and at the same time embraces sustainable practices and modern winemaking techniques. The winery and its vineyards, located in the heart of Valpolicella, remain a symbol of excellence and passion for wine.
Bertani is famous for its Amarone della Valpolicella Classico, a full-bodied and complex red wine made from dried grapes. The Valpolicella Ripasso combines Valpolicella with Amarone pomace, resulting in a fruity and spicy wine. The Secco-Bertani Original Vintage Edition combines tradition and innovation, taking inspiration from the early Valpolicellas with a blend of Corvina, Sangiovese, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, offering elegant notes of fruit and spice.
