We don’t own the vineyards, we look after them. And our task is to leave them to the next generation in better condition than when they were passed down to us.
With 50 hectares distributed in the three Valpolicella areas, the Cesari family presents its take on the designation, through a combination of tradition and innovation.
A historic villa in the Marano valley, one hundred and twenty hectares of land, of which forty-seven are protected, distributed in three different areas of the Veronese province: Valpolicella Classica, Valpantena and Valpolicella Orientale. A historic family, the Cesari, have owned it since 1929 and are committed to the enhancement of a rich and diverse viticultural heritage.
Brigaldara is now led by Stefano Cesari, who with the help of his sons Antonio and Lamberto is engaged in the enhancement of the land both from a winemaking standpoint and through the conservation of native biodiversity.
A team of young oenologists and agronomists is dedicated to the study and customization of every intervention carried out in the vineyard, to enhance the varietal expression of the terroirs and microterroirs that make up the different souls of the wines produced here. Brigaldara is a comprehensive vision, an anthology of Valpolicella enriched by different perspectives, stories, experiences and generations.
